Flags for Honor 2021

Every year, the community comes together to honor their heroes, mentors, and loves ones with Flags for Honor. This year, we will be honoring the heroes and the fallen of 9/11. We will create an awe-inspiring display of American flags based on the donations of community members, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and more. Honorees include but not limited to:

    • Heroes of 9/11
    • Fallen of 9/11
    • Local Firefighters
    • Local Law Enforcement
    • Active or Reserve U.S. Military Personnel
    • U.S. Military Veterans

The flags will be proudly erected in Edgewater Park in Cleveland, Ohio. The flags will be displayed on Sept. 9-12 in honor of the individuals who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. The patriotic display of American flags can also be observed while driving down Route 20.

The honorees are also recognized year-round in our Virtual Flag Dedication where they are acknowledged on the interactive Honoree Map. The flags were also live-streamed on the FBICLECAAA’s Facebook page, providing a terrific opportunity to observe and enjoy the patriotic display from anywhere in the world.

This year, all our proceeds will help support the FBI Cleveland Citizens Academy Alumni Association to support their mission of creating safer communities in Northeast Ohio.

Flags for Honor is an annual event where you can dedicate a beautiful American flag to show your appreciation for those who have made an impact in your life by helping, guiding, or inspiring you. The vibrant display of American Flags is erected as a patriotic tribute to honorees. Current and past honorees are also acknowledged in our Virtual Flag Dedication with an interactive Honoree Map that displays the name, location, and description of each year’s honorees.

Every year, the community comes together to honor their heroes, mentors, and loves ones with Flags for Honors. In 2020, the event highlighted those on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. This year marks 20 years since the tragedy of September 11th, so we will be honoring the heroes and the fallen of 9/11. The event will also focus on our local heroes such as firefighters and law enforcement officers that serve and better our community.

The flags will be proudly erected in Edgewater Park in Cleveland, Ohio. The flags will be displayed on Sept. 9-12 in honor of the individuals who lost their lives on Septemeber 11, 2001. The patriotic display of American flags can also be observed while driving down Route 20.
